A new stash of fabric...

to make a quilt for a little boy...

I have started a quilt already, but can't seem to make it work at this stage.  So I've put it aside for now and went out to seek some inspiration from new fabric.  I am really happy with this collection and I might even have a few extras I can add from my stash of greens, yellows and blues. 

I can't wait to cut these fabrics up and see the quilt take shape!

A quilt for baby Louis

This is my most recent quilting creation; made for my friend Mel and her gorgeous son Louis. I particularly love the snails and the dragonflys in this quilt.  Even though it took a long time, I had a lot of fun sewing the little bugs on.  I hope Louis and his brother Ewan catch lots of laughter and fun on this quilt.

Wow! A blog!

OK... so many would say I'm not that computer literate... but I have decided to embrace digital technology and use it to my advantage... by starting a blog!  I really just wanted a space to upload pictures of the things I make to share with family and friends. 

I hope you enjoy seeing the home made, spun and grown things that fill my life with happiness, as much as I have enjoyed creating them.  May they inspire you to create and engage in the world around you.
